Job Details

Assist in maintaining and preparing content for department website and other social media sites; assist in production of digital media such as videos, photos and graphic images to be used for public information; assist in designing flyers and other printed marketing materials; assist in coordinating public media events, ribbon cuttings; groundbreakings; press conferences; etc.

*Must possess solid verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills, including demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with web content development.

*Knowledge of Adobe applications, such as Photoshop, Indesign and Premier Pro.

*Knowledge of principles and practices of social media and digital, print and video production.

*Must be able to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.

*Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations; Communications; Journalism; Marketing; Graphic Design or Digital Media and a minimum of 1 year professional experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.

This is a long-term temporary position. Hours are flexible to be 6-7 hours a day mornings or afternoons, typically Monday through Friday, but some weekends are required. $9 – $10/hr.
